Yes, there are many options for your wedding ceremony at Copdock Hall. For civil ceremonies, the main barn, Walsingham Room and little courtyard barn are all licensed and we have numerous options for outdoor ceremonies, including the vineyard. For church weddings, the local parish C of E church of St Peter’s looks over Copdock Hall. We work with local Humanist and independent celebrants for symbolic and belief ceremonies.

With a choice of indoor and outdoor spaces for any size of wedding, Copdock Hall is as popular in the winter as it is in the summer.

The main barn has underfloor heating and looks incredible with candlelight, so your guests will feel cosy year round.

We are available for weddings on every day of the year and as an added bonus, midweek and spring, autumn and winter dates are all available at discounted rates.

The venue hire fee covers exclusive use of Copdock Hall, all you’ll need for the wedding day and an event manager on the day to ensure everything runs smoothly. This includes tables and chairs for guests, tables for the cake and gifts and courtyard furniture. Our recommended caterers supply all of the glasses, cutlery and crockery you’ll need. You’ll have the use of a private preparation room, car parking, purpose-built toilets, fully equipped catering kitchen, a staffed bar and our in-house music and PA system with three zones and wifi. Our grounds include a terrace and courtyard for reception drinks, with new patio furniture for 2024, wide lawns with plenty of space for guests, and a vineyard for photos, next to the 15th century parish church.

If you have specific dietary needs you are welcome to bring in your own caterers, and we have carefully selected a recommended list of local caterers who look after our couples really well and have full access to our on-site kitchens.

Venue visits and showrounds are available 7 days a week during the daytime and evening, and can take place in person or by video for your convenience. As an exclusive use venue, we only offer video tours on days with a wedding taking place so we can give our undivided attention and complete privacy for that wedding.

If the venue hasn’t been booked for the day before your wedding you are welcome to come in to set up, and we’ll have our event planner on hand to assist you. We can offer a reduced hire rate if you would like to block the day before in the diary, however there is plenty of time and space on the morning of the wedding for most set-ups, so this is rarely needed. If the accommodation has not been booked for a wedding the night before your wedding you will have the option to book it for an extra night.

Yes, our venue hire prices vary depending on the day and season of your wedding, enabling you to choose a date that works for you, your guests and your budget. Midweek and winter dates are a good option to help your budget go further, as we offer the same great experience every day of the year. Copdock Hall is a great venue for every season; our underfloor heating keeps the barn cosy and warm in the cooler months, and the vineyard is particularly beautiful in the autumn.

Yes, you can secure your wedding date as far in advance as you like. We publish prices for the next 2 years, but if you are booking further ahead we will guarantee a cap of 5% on the previous year’s hire price. If the published prices are then lower, you pay the lower rate.

The main barn is ideal for weddings of 50 - 180 guests, who can all be seated while still leaving enough space to access the bar and dance floor. For smaller weddings, we can partition areas with trees and lit shrubs in movable planters, to create more intimate areas within the barn.

For larger weddings, up to 350 guests can fit in the main barn, with space for additional guests in a marquee in the courtyard or on the terrace. Couples love the fact that guests can all be in one room with uninterrupted views of the speeches and other key moments. It is a very sociable space where young and old can celebrate together, in any weather.

Yes, new for 2024 we have onsite accommodation in the newly designed farmhouse. There’s a beautiful ground floor honeymoon suite with direct garden access, and 7 additional luxury ensuite rooms, sleeping a further 15 guests. The farmhouse kitchen is a warm and inviting space for overnight guests to share a late night drink and a fresh continental breakfast in the morning.

As a purpose-designed exclusive use venue, all you will need for your wedding is here for you to use, and is included within the venue hire charge.

Of course, you are welcome to customise the venue as much as you choose with additional decoration, props and even furniture and we can put you in touch with specialist suppliers.

Yes, Copdock Hall is unusual in that it is all on one level, with step free access. Any gravel is bonded, to make it wheelchair and pushchair friendly. There is a room adjacent to the main barn that can be used for any guests that need a quiet or private space.

Yes, and they look incredible, especially for winter weddings and in the early evening. For safety and for the best effect, you’ll want them to be in glass holders, so we’ve got plenty for you to use or you can supply your own.

We love confetti at weddings and encourage couples to get that all important ‘confetti moment shot’! We allow biodegradable confetti such as dried rose petals; it looks beautiful and helps keep your wedding sustainable.

A fully staffed bar is included within venue hire, but if preferred you can supply your own wine and soft drinks for your wedding breakfast. There is no corkage charge for weddings taking place in 2024.

Yes, we have a beautiful dressing room attached to the barn and its the perfect space for one of you to use before the special day.

If you have booked the accommodation the night before the wedding, one of the party can get ready there and one can use the dressing room.
